Who we are

LearnWithLeo is a driving school based in Fort William, Scotland. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), LearnWithLeo is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. What we collect and why

When you join our waitlist we collect your name, email address and (optionally) your phone number. We use these details for one purpose only: to contact you about driving lesson availability with LearnWithLeo.

Our lawful basis is your consent: the box you tick when you sign up. We record the date and time you gave consent. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights” below), and withdrawing it won't affect you in any way beyond us no longer contacting you.

What we don't do

• We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We keep anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics (pages viewed, rough visit length, device type, and where visits came from). These statistics contain no personal data and cannot identify you.
• We don't sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
• We don't send newsletters or promotional emails, only messages about lesson availability.
• We don't collect any data beyond what the waitlist form shows.

Where your data is stored

Waitlist details are stored securely with Supabase, our database provider, in a data centre located in the European Union. Access is restricted to LearnWithLeo via an authenticated admin account.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until you become a pupil, or for a maximum of 12 months of inactivity, whichever comes first, after which they are deleted. If you withdraw consent, we delete your details promptly.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies at all. The only cookie used is a strictly necessary session cookie for the site administrator's login, and it is never set for visitors. Because we use no non-essential cookies, no cookie banner is required.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
• restrict or object to our processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out directly first.
